Bernard De Rycke is a friend suffering and dying because of a brain tumor. When 2 years ago he got his final prognosis he quit his job as religion teacher. He decided to direct a first short film ‘In A Landscape’ in his remaining time. One year later, he was suprised to still be alive and directed a second short film ‘Endurance’. Sound engineer Johan Somers pronounces what many of the crew members think of working on the shoots for Bernard’s projects.

July 2016 Bernard shot his third short film, a comedy: ‘Coffee‘.

Since april 2014, I’m filming a documenatry on Bernard, his wife Machteld and their children. They asked me to so, in order to have vivid memory of him after he will be gone.
